The American Folk Art Museum celebrated the 10th Anniversary of The American Antiques Show at the opening night gala on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.  Recognized as one of the most important Americana and folk art fairs in the country, the show took place from January 20-23 during Americana Week in New York City. The gala evening provided a key opportunity to preview the folk art, Americana, and decorative arts before they go on public display the next day. At the gala preview The American Antiques Show was pleased to honor the state of Virginia as part of its annual celebration of the fifty United States of America.

Guest that attended at the Gala Benefit opening included: Laura & Richard Parsons, Mario Buatta, Nora Ephron, Arie & Coco Kopelman, Martha Stewart, Wendy & Stephen Lash, Bunny Williams, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Agnes Nixon, Ellie & Edgar Cullman, Arden Wohl, Cece Cord, Henry Buhl, Miles Redd,  Marjorie & Robert Hirschhorn plus former first daughter Lynda Johnson Robb.

Briskin, Lucy and Mike Danziger, Margaret and Gregory Hedberg, Joan and Victor Johnson, Petra and Stephen Levin, Laura and Richard Parsons, Francesca Petrucci and Stephen Corelli, Patricia and Juan Ruiz, and Elizabeth and Irwin Warren.
