Hundreds of luminaries joined Ross School alumni, families and faculty to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ross School, a college-preparatory school located in East Hampton and Bridgehampton, at the Ninth Annual Live @Club Starlight ball on June 2, 2012 at the Ross Upper School campus in East Hampton, NY. Nearly $1 million was raised for Ross School programs and scholarships, making the event a record-breaking year as it raised the highest amount out of any previous year.
The event honored Courtney Sale Ross, the school’s founder, for her vision, dedication and support in bringing a progressive, global education to pre-nursery-12th grade students. The benefit raised money for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund.
Charles Stevenson and Alex Kuczynski co-chaired the event, which featured a musical performance by legendary Grammy Award-winning artist Roberta Flack who performed songs including, “Where is the Love” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song.” Russell Simmons, Donna Karan, U.S. Representative Timothy Bishop, and Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman were also in attendance to pay tribute to honoree Courtney Sale Ross and the work she has done through the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund.
