On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, The Museum of Modern Art hosted a luncheon for the artist Ellsworth Kelly. The luncheon was on the occasion of Kelly’s large-scale work, Sculpture for a Large Wall (1957), going on view in the Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium. The luncheon was also celebration of Ellsworth Kelly’s birthday, who turns 89 on May 31. The event was hosted by Jerry I. Speyer, Chairman, Marie-Josée Kravis, President, Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder, Honorary Chairman, and Glenn Lowry, Director, The Museum of Modern Art. A number of MoMA Trustees and noted artists were in attendance.
