New York Landmarks Conservancy in celebrating the 2008 Living Landmarks
Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.
This year the Conservancy honored Rosamond Bernier and the
late John Russell, Judy Collins, the late Osborn Elliot, Barbara
Goldsmith, Phyllis Newman, Charles B. Rangel, and Charlie Rose. Once
again Living Landmark host Liz Smith presided over the festivities,
aided by Peter Duchin and his orchestra.
Guests included Lauren Bacall, Francine du Plessix Gray, Mica
Ertegun, Duane Hampton, Raymond Kelly and Veronica Kelly, Dr. Mathilde
Krim, Mary McFadden, Ambassador Nicholas Platt, Enid Nemy, Lynn Nesbit,
Howard Rubinstein and Amy Rubinstein, Arnold Scaasi and Parker Ladd,
Gerald Schoenfeld, Martin Segal, Jean Kennedy Smith, Nan Talese and
Gay Talese.
