June 4, DOROT hosted its 31st Anniversary
Benefit Gala honoring two of the organization's long-time
supporters, Freddi Finegood and Ethan
Horwitz. The Gala, which drew over 400 guests,
took place at the American Museum of Natural History
in New York City. Guests enjoyed the musical
talents of New Orleans native and jazz sensation Jonathan
Batiste and his quintet. The Leslie
Pintchik Trio performed during the cocktail
reception. Wilma and Howard
Kaye, Paula and Ira
Resnick and Fiona and Michael
Scharf served as Gala co-chairs. Diane
Katzin and Richard Kurnit served
as Gala Board chairs. The event raised over $700,000
to benefit programs and services for over 10,000 frail,
homebound and homeless elderly New Yorkers and their
caregivers.
