Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation hosted its 16th Annual Bear
Tie Ball: A Nautical Night . . . All Aboard For A Cure at Chicago's
Navy Pier on February 21, 2009. The guests mingled through
cocktail hour and browsed the silent auction on a balcony overlooking
the grand ballroom. The program followed which included a live
auction, dinner, cash raffle and ended with dancing to the music of
Indigo. Over half a million dollars was raised for Bear Necessities
programs and mission to eliminate pediatric cancer and to provide hope
and support to those who are touched by it.
