The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) honored Katherine Heigl with the ASPCA Presidential Service Award at the Thirteenth Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The award was presented by ASPCA President & CEO Ed Sayres. The event was emceed by popular designer Isaac Mizrahi while Hugh Hildesley of Sotheby’s served as the event’s auctioneer.
The ASPCA Bergh Ball is an annual black-tie gala that draws a passionate crowd of animal lovers who come to dine and dance in support of the ASPCA’s mission, “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”
